How much does it cost to attend this event? This event is FREE! However, you can choose to financially support Big Brothers Big Sisters by participating in our online auction and bidding on the amazing packages we created, or by making a gift online before, during, or after the event.
How does the online auction work? The entire auction will be held online this year. The online auction will open on Friday, February 19 and will close on Saturday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m. Once the auction opens, you will be able to view each auction package and bid as often and as much as you'd like. If you don't want to bid on items but still want to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, you will be able to make donations before and during the event through the online auction website.
What will the program be like during the virtual event? The livestream program will be a celebration of our community and it will be an opportunity for you to support Big Brothers Big Sisters during this critical time. We will share a powerful message of our impact and celebrate our sponsors. Our event host, Johnna Wells, will highlight incredible auction packages for you to bid on and present opportunities for you to donate during the live broadcast.
How can I bid in the auction or donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters?
- Participate in the online auction starting Friday, February 19 and bid on incredible packages.
- Join us on Saturday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. when you can give a donation during live program.
How do I view the event? The event will be broadcast on our website on February 27. When you are watching the live broadcast, we recommend two devices to participate. A computer to watch the livestream and a smartphone or tablet to bid or give.
If I win an online auction package, how do I pick-up that package? You will be notified by email if you win an auction package in the online auction. Packages can be delivered to homes within the greater Portland area, or arranged for pick up at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Shipment can be arranged for any winning bidders located outside of the Portland metro area. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping costs of physical items.
